College Football Conference Realignment is depressing

I 100% understand that at the end of the day the landscape of college football conference realignment is a money game, but it still sucks. Big 12 shootouts featuring the Oklahoma vs Texas Red River Rivalry all of the sudden is a SEC game. UCLA and USC being the west coast PAC-12 blue bloods are now going to be a middle tier BIG10 teams. It is fun to debate who’s conference is better, the drama of the playoff, the opportunity to truly win your conference, all of it. The PAC-12 after dark is one of the best staples of college football. Staying up later than you should to watch two teams trading touchdowns to make things as dramatic as possible is part of the electric experience of college football. Fast west coast football where the Oregon Ducks come out looking extra fast, Stanford has 9 players down in a four point stance on offense, UCLA playing at the Rose Bowl in those powder blues, and more. There are just certain pieces of college football that shouldn’t change and the PAC-12 getting shredded into bits is depressing. TV deals are important, money is important, but college football is one of the most prized possessions of the best country in the world that we need to protect. Get it together people, don’t let college football go to shit.
